MENTOR, Ohio — The Lake Humane Society is asking for donations to help take care of a puppy with a broken femur. In late December, a two-month-old Golden Retriever puppy was taken to Lake Humane Society after being taken by Eastlake Police. The puppy's femur had been shattered by alleged blunt force trauma as an eyewitness reported to the police. When police arrived to help the puppy, they found the pup lying motionless on the ground. Hotch was taken in by the Lake Humane Society. He had emergency surgery and is continued to be monitored by radiographs every two weeks until his femur is healed.
